Pre-requisites for Online Courses

Any students interested in registering for an online course, should have a basic knowledge of computers including:

  • Working knowledge of the Internet
  • Familiarity with a word processing program
  • Proficiency in e-mail

Students may be required to install and/or upgrade programs on their computers. Although technical support will be available for students having difficulty accessing the OREA online courses, this support is limited to any problems as a direct result of server or system Internet connections (for the OREA Real Estate College online courses).

OREA Real Estate College and/or online course providers are under no obligation to help remedy any problems and/or difficulties experienced by any students due to their lack of knowledge or proficiency in basic computer usage, email usage and Internet browsing.

Technical Requirements for Online Students

Students interested in taking any online courses, require:
 

Hardware (Minimum)

  • Pentium (PC) or G3 (Mac) processor
  • 32 MB of RAM
  • 50 MB minimum free hard disk space
  • 28.8 KBPS modem (or higher)
  • Screen resolution: 256 colours, 800 x 600 Compatible printer
